🇲🇱Mali

Mali was added in October 2026. Every provider that publishes a country list has been checked against it; where a provider publishes none, it is marked “not confirmed”. Know the answer? Tell us.

6.8 million people in Mali work for themselves, and 9 million are online. Yet a business registered here can sign up with only 1 of the 19 global payment, account and payout providers we track.

Gap, with a stablecoin pathAll gaps →

Only 1 of the payment, account and payout providers we track onboard businesses registered here: Payoneer. dLocal and EBANX may also serve Mali, but this is not confirmed.

We have not reviewed the stablecoin rules here, so whether stablecoins can fill the gap is an open question. Self-custody wallets already work here with just a phone and internet; the missing piece is a way in and out of local money. How that works. Bridge, Rain, Dodo Payments and Flutterwave confirm coverage here. BVNK and EBANX may serve businesses here, subject to their own checks; we have not confirmed it.

Stablecoins without a provider

Stablecoins can be held in a self-custody wallet that only you control, so they work anywhere with an internet connection, whether or not any provider serves Mali. What decides whether that is useful here is the law, and a way to swap them for local money.

  1. 1Get a wallet

A self-custody wallet is free software on any phone or computer. No bank, provider or sign-up is needed.

  2. 2Hold and send stablecoins

Dollar stablecoins move wallet to wallet worldwide in minutes, around the clock, for a small network fee.

  3. 3Swap to and from XOF

Bridge, Rain, Dodo Payments, Flutterwave offer stablecoin products to businesses here.

Is it legal? We have not reviewed the local rules yet.

In a self-custody wallet, you alone hold the keys: lose them and the money is gone, and there is no deposit insurance or chargeback. Not legal or financial advice.
