Where a merchant can be registered and where its customers can pay are separate. Under EBANX's main Cross-border model, funds are settled to a merchant based in a different country from its customers; EBANX does not publish which merchant home countries it accepts, and its 2021 terms required the settlement bank account to be outside the countries where EBANX payment methods are offered (settlement in USD or EUR). Businesses with a local entity in Brazil, Chile, Colombia or Mexico can also use the Local model with domestic settlement. Customers can pay in 23 countries (see customerCountries).
